This past week has been a roller coaster of emotions. I have had such a great time planning the 40th birthday celebration for my daughter, Amanda.

But with every detail, I kept pausing, thinking, is this real? Is my daughter going to be 40? It seems like a short time ago that I celebrated this milestone looking down at my own cake aflame with 40 candles. And, now, I am presenting that cake to Amanda. And, while she lamented the “old age of 40”, I have to remind her that I am the 65-year-old mother of 40!!!

Having a strong faith, a healthy lifestyle, eliminating chemicals from our home (food, cleansers, and personal products), and regular exercise help me face these reminders of aging more gracefully. It is empowering to know that I am trying to do everything possible to age well.  But, I couldn't help think how great it would have been to have Restoracell at her age.

Discovering GHK-Cu (copper peptides) at age 64 has undoubtedly helped me in the aging battle. I know that Restoracell with blue copper peptides gives me smoother, less wrinkled-looking skin, but it is also healthier skin. Researchers have discovered that GHK-Cu promotes the production of cells that make up the extracellular matrix. These cells consist of collagen and glycosaminoglycans, which prevent the accumulation of damaged proteins and excessive protein breakdown at the site of tissue injuries.

GHK-Cu is something that our body naturally produces. Children and young adults have exceptionally high GHK-Cu levels. However, as I explained to my daughter, as we get older, our GHK-Cu levels decrease. To put things into perspective, someone at age 20 would have approximately 200ng/mL of GHK-Cu. At 60 years of age, this amount goes down to 80ng/mL. As a result, our skin loses its firmness and elasticity.

All of my beautiful daughters now use Restoracell, and I tell them that I wish I had started this fantastic product when I was their age. However, I am grateful that I now can repair and restore my skin by applying Restoracell with GHK-Cu (blue copper peptides) twice a day!

Happy Birthday Amanda!!
